He reached down from on high.

I’ve done a series of paintings recently based on a simple verse from 2 Samuel 22.17. The one above is a large 90cm by 90cm painting with gold leaf, inks, masking fluid and acrylic paint this beauty would make a stunning feature in a room.

The message that accompanies it is that God is our rescuer. He reaches down to us and takes hold of us in the deepest depths we may find ourselves in.

It speaks of promise and goodness. Of rescue and of God being strong. I was captivated by a friends painting of a similar scene and wanted to capture the sense of depth and being under the waters.
