For this time of year, as the clocks go back and Halloween is just around the corner this recent picture of mine feels somewhat apt.
Not because it looks a bit spooky but because it’s about stepping out from the darkness into the light.
It was painted at a recent worship service at Cambourne church at the monthly Encounter service where the theme was about spiritual warfare.
What really ‘got me’ from the painting was that while I had painted it to represent people stepping into the light someone saw the person in a hoodie as Jesus.
They had been given a vision over the past while of Jesus stepping out from a ticket booth at KingsCross station and giving them some specific instructions. They felt reminded to do what he has asked them to do, to bring a message to some people who needed to know something quite specific!
I really do love how God speaks.
