Bardsey, a thin place.

Last week we spent time as a family on the beautiful island of Bardsey.

Blue sky thinking.

It was stunning. Not having WiFi is a gift. Not having electricity brought us closer together and we played loads of games, undistracted by the TV or watching a DVD.

There isn’t any running water on the island too. Makes you appreciate how blessed we truly are. Especially as I was the one who emptied the loo each morning!

I can’t recommend the island enough. It has a rich heritage of pilgrimage and prayer and you can feel it. Once a year I serve as chaplain on the island and it is a real privilege to minister to people searching for looking for meaning and hope in their lives.

Enjoy this little film I put together form our week as a family and with my mum too!
