“For you will feed and be satisfied at her comforting breasts; you will drink deeply and delight in her overflowing abundance… As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you…”
A couple of weeks before my Dad died I was drawn to the above scripture in the last chapter of Isaiah. The comfort I’ve felt by God has at times been tangible.
Last Sunday evening at Encounter (the monthly service I lead at Cambourne Church) I swapped my usual leading and speaking role (I was feeling a bit fragile) and painted instead. I wanted to capture something of the closeness and intanacy of God with us. I made a start on the evening alongside our usual prophetic artist Kate Green.
