Live Out Loud

Encounter is a new praise and worship Gathering that happens once a month at Cambourne Church near Cambridge. Usually 4th Sunday at 7pm.

It’s a time to participate and learn new things and recieve the gift of the Holy Spirit. It’s about meeting afresh with God through sung worship as well as having a go at practicing with the gifts.

One of the joys of leading this gathering is working alongside Kate Green, who is part of city church in Cambridge. Kate paints propehtic messages (something on God’s heart for us) and also at the last gathering she danced. It was powerful! Kate’s web site can be found by following this link: flourish and fly.

Kate painted this picture for us:

 Kate writes:

I feel God wanted to speak to us about being his fragrance to those around us.
As we draw close to God, when we spend time in his presence we take on HIS fragrance, and then we take it with us.

I bought some fragrant soap to symbolise this, to respond to God’s invitation as we wash our hands with it.

I felt that the name of the soap was significant. It’s called ‘Miranda’ – I looked this up and came across the ‘Miranda Warning’, it’s the phrase “you have the right to remain silent, anything you do say may be used in evidence etc” God in his grace accepts our silence, we have a choice, but he would rather we speak up, speak out, he wants to raise the volume of the church in this country, he wants us to live out loud.

Rev 19: talks about the roar of a great multitude in heaven shouting:

“Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God, for our Lord God Almighty reigns. Let us rejoice and celebrate and give him glory!”

God wants HIS FRAGRANCE IN US to be like a SHOUT to the world around us.
