Up up and away

I’m in my element when I get to paint. Couple creativity with faith sharing and I’m positively buzzing!

I love communicating my faith through the arts and hanging out at Fresh Streams conference over the last 48 hours with a remit to paint and bring words from God’s heart through my efforts to the hearts of those around me has brought me much joy.

When the sung worship happened I would paint (and sing!) and here are three paintings that I did over the 48hours:

This painting is all about an invitation to come on up and take a good view of things…

I don’t think I’ve ever had such a positive and large number of responses as I had with this painting: it spoke to people in different ways and there were 5 different requests for it afterwards! (Encouraging I must say… I shal be doing some prints of it soon.)

This painting is all about leaving a place of fear. Praise and worship bring freedom!

This last painting I’ve done before and the reason I chose to do it was because I had around 20 minutes of painting time left and using something I’ve painted before meant I could do something quickly! Thankfully the painting spoke to a couple at the conference who were very chuffed with it!

‘I, the Lord, have called you in righteousness; I will take hold of your hand. I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people and a light for the Gentiles, to open eyes that are blind, to free captives from prison and to release from the dungeon those who sit in darkness. ‘I am the Lord; that is my name! I will not yield my glory to another or my praise to idols. See, the former things have taken place, and new things I declare; before they spring into being I announce them to you.’
