Seed sowing

For a couple of years I’ve been fascinated by the image of dandelion clocks. When you blow on them the seeds take off, delicately floating in the wind.

But don’t be deceived as to the potential of the floating angelic seeds. These tiny fluffy seeds cause havoc in my allotment! The dandelion roots go deep and I’m always weeding them out.

1 Peter 3.15 challenges followers of Jesus to do 3 things:

1) Make Jesus the very core of your life.

2) Be prepared to give the reason for the hope that you have.

3) Do this with gentleness and respect.

The delicate gentle and respectful sharing of the good news brings living seeds that make deep roots and produce, not weeds, but good fruit.

This painting is one of the biggest I’ve done. Nearly 2 metres in length and over 1 metre in height.
