Holding light

on

There are two things I especially love to paint: hands and light.

When I get an opportunity to paint them together I’m in my element! I’m not too sure why I’ve painted these two pictures, they may be for someone, they may be as a simple prayer to remind me and others that we are the light of the world. It might be that it’s purely for an opportunity to recreate.

Or perhaps it’s a simple prayer painting during a week where our nation voted Brexit and many of us are grieving over the rise of hate and racism in our nation. Light overcomes darkness.

This one which is much smaller I painted a few weeks ago:

Oh wow! These really spoke to me, especially the second – about holding my own small light to witness to God while in Kenya.Thank you.
