I’ve just met with a creative Baptist pastor of Dormansland Baptist Church in the South East who has done a number of initiative art projects over the past five years in a rural context in his local village annual carnival. The art pieces are huge and exuberant and speak so much of being community together. They produce a lavish project put on by the church for the benefit of the community. He showed me the different projects they had undertaken.

I loved talking this afternoon with David the minister, and getting a feel of why he chooses creative approaches to communicating good news rather than confrontational ways.

You see, people seem to get what the church is like through the way it artistically relates with those in it’s community. I love it!
